Yesterday, Knology announced that Robert Mills was taking over the duties of chief financial officer from Todd Holt, while Holt will continue as Knology’s president.
Mills previously served as Knology’s chief financial officer from 1999 to 2005.
“We are extremely excited to have Rob rejoin the Knology team,” Holt said. “His industry knowledge, financial expertise and familiarity with our company will be valuable assets to the organization as we continue to operate the business in this challenging environment and as we continue our focus on creating incremental shareholder value through disciplined growth initiatives.”
Prior to his return, Mills served as the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Clearleap, a venture-backed start-up software company that specializes in Internet-protocol based video-on-demand delivery services to the cable and IPTV industries. Mills was with Clearleap from April of last year until January of this year.
Also during his career, Mills has served as chief financial officer for Vyyo and Industriaplex.
Last year, Knology bought Lawrence, Kan.-based Sunflower Broadband for $165 million. Knology is currently integrating Sunflower’s assets into its own systems.
