Mintek Mobile Data Solutions has released enhanced versions of its WinTrack Subscriber Equipment Tracking System (SETS), Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Tap Audit systems.
WinTrack SETS, which is installed in more than 700 cable warehouses nationwide, is receiving its latest update – WinTrack SETS 6, which offers enhanced Windows Mobile support, offering wireless capabilities that allow cable warehouse personnel to perform reconciliations and diagnostics in real time. The new version of WinTrack SETS also allows for wireless, or wired, printing and signature capture.
Mintek is also releasing WatchList, a real-time serial number identification system that runs on Windows Mobile Handhelds. Once serial numbers for problem boxes are added into WatchList, it ensures that no problem boxes are sent to customer homes, the company said.
WinTrack SFA and WinTrack Tap Audit have also gone wireless. Direct sales representatives (DSRs) out in the field can now access past due balances, perform credit checks and initiate work orders in real time with cellular-equipped Windows Mobile handhelds, the company said. They can also capture a signature and print a receipt.
“DSRs have real-time access to billing system information,” said Jerimi Ford, CTO of Mintek. “They no longer have to call back to the office while at a customer’s home. This saves valuable time that can be spent making additional sales.”
Auditors also have immediate access to customer information thanks to WinTrack Tap Audit. They can identify cable theft and perform collections. Because WinTrack SFA and WinTrack Tap Audit are part of the same CRM suite, both applications can be run at the same time, the company said, giving auditors the ability to convert an unauthorized connection into a sale.
