Mouser Electronics was formally recognized with a State Proclamation from the Texas Senate for its economic and civic contributions and for being named the 2012 Employer of Excellence for Tarrant County.
The Texas Senate proclamation specifically cites Mouser for its economic development, community giving, and educational initiatives throughout the community and the state.

The Senate Proclamation states:
“Whereas, Mouser Electronics is a major distributor of semiconductors and electronic components; its nearly 1,000 employees have had a profound impact on the community through such initiatives as sponsorships and partnerships with local schools; and
“Whereas, the company is committed to fostering educational innovation and excellence, particularly in the expanding fields of science and mathematics; it is truly deserving of recognition for its exemplary efforts; now, therefore, be it
“Proclaimed, that the Senate of the State of Texas hereby commend Mouser Electronics on its many outstanding contributions to the community and extend congratulations to its management and employees on being named the 2012 Employer of Excellence for Tarrant County.”
The proclamation is signed by State Senator Wendy Davis, who represents Mouser’s hometown of Mansfield Texas as well as most of Tarrant County.

The city proclamation cited Mouser as “one of our most philanthropic corporate citizens, working with the Mansfield ISD to assist students in learning robotics, building homes for Habitat for Humanity and donating to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.”
The city proclamation also congratulated Mouser for its recognition as the 2012 Employer of Excellence for Tarrant County.
“The City of Mansfield congratulates Mouser for this award and honors its contribution to the economic health of the city and the region and expresses its gratitude to the company, its executives and its employees for their commitment to our community, to local charities and to Mansfield students,” the proclamation states.
The Local Employer of Excellence award is given by Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, the local chapter of the Texas Workforce Commission, which also named Mouser a top five finalist for Texas Workforce Employer of the Year for 2012. Mouser was recognized on Dec. 12 at the Workforce Solutions’ Annual Awards meeting. This is a joint meeting of the 29-member Workforce Development Board and the Workforce Governing Board which is composed of Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley, Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck and Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price. Mayor Cluck assisted Buddy Puente, Workforce Development Board Chair, and Keith Muskrat, Workforce Development Board Vice-Chair, in presenting Mouser with this award.
