Netgear has released a new Wi-Fi range extender that plugs into a wall outlet. 

The company says the Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Range Extender with MU-MIMO and Beamforming+ technology can expand the range of an existing Wi-Fi router to cover up to 10,000 square feet and also enables end users to stream data to multiple devices at speeds up to 2.2Gbps.

The AC2200 WiFi Range Extender is the first wall-plug extender for Netgear’s Nighthawk range of products. 

The Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Range Extender (EX7300) is available now from major retailers in stores and online, at an MSRP of $169.99 in the U.S. The NETGEAR AC1900 WiFi Range Extender (EX6400) is available now at an MSRP of $139.99.

Netgear will be showing off the Nighthawk X4 as well as a range of other new products in its Marriott Las Vegas showroom during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.
