Blonder Tongue Laboratories reported net sales slightly in excess of $10 million for the second quarter 2006, a 6.4 percent increase over net sales of $9.4 million reported in the second quarter 2005.
The company’s loss narrowed to $404,000, compared to a net loss of $641,000 a year ago.
The company attributed the higher sales to an overall increase in core headend, distribution and fiber equipment as well as an increase in digital, high definition and interdiction product sales.
The company is shedding “non-core” business units. It has divested Blonder Tongue Telephone and recently announced its intention to divest BDR Broadband, which the company said should combine for a $600,000 annual improvement in net income.
