Spectrum Enterprise, a part of Charter Communications, Inc., has partnered with Moviebeam, a video systems integrator, to offer hotels an in-room guest experience with programming packages from Spectrum Enterprise delivered on its fiber network.
This offering combines both Spectrum Enterprise Fiber Connect Plus TV, a HDTV video programming service with more than 200 HD channels, and the Moviebeam technology in order to customize the experience for hotel guests. This solution can help hoteliers deliver custom content and provide concierge information that features local attractions and services.
“The Spectrum Enterprise partnership with Moviebeam is helping mid- to upper-end hotels and national hotel brands provide an excellent guest experience with interactive and customizable, in-room TV services,” said Peter Agnvall, vice president of Enterprise TV and Spectrum Enterprise. “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to serve the hospitality industry, address their unique needs and invest in in-room entertainment offerings, Internet and data network solutions, managed WiFi and voice services appropriate for the industry.”
By using the remote control and in-room HDTV, hotel guests will have access to entertainment choices, including on-demand content and pay movies. Additionally, guests can cast from their personal devices using Chromecase and Airplay, while utilizing audio and video content from the streaming apps offered by Moviebeam without entering login credentials into the in-room HDTV.
“Moviebeam’s in-room experience solutions and the programming packages delivered over an advanced fiber network from Spectrum Enterprise are a winning combination for hotel brands and resorts,” said Ankur Sheth, CEO of Moviebeam, Valuable Technologies Inc. “Together, we provide a complete suite of services that addresses the entire market today – from the very basic needs to the most advanced needs with customized features.”
Overall, clients can choose from four service package options from Moviebeam and six programming packages, which includes sports, premium and international packages, and music channels from Spectrum Enterprise.
