Verizon has begun marketing the services of its business partner, DirecTV, to its small-business customers.
The pair is offering channel line-ups they expect might be appropriate for certain types of businesses.
Verizon expects DirecTV would be appropriate for any business with a waiting room.
DirectTV service, Verizon says, “enlivens the atmosphere, entertains customers and can reduce perceived waiting times, which can help improve customer satisfaction.”
The channel menu optimized for these businesses includes 80-plus channels of sports, news and entertainment programming for $67.99 per month. Local channels can be added for a fee.
In bars and restaurants, “the quality and variety of DirecTV programming can help bring in new customers,” according to Verizon. Restaurants and bars might select the Commercial Choice Plus package, which includes five ESPN channels, regional sports networks, local channels and more.
The price of Commercial Choice Plus varies based on the number of viewers, starting at $148.99 per month for locations with up to 50 persons in the viewing audience.
