Verizon is considering several new, low-cost landline services aimed at stemming the tide of customers opting for only wireless service, according to various media reports.
One option being evaluated is a $5-per-month service that would allow customers to receive calls, and make calls only to Verizon customers and 911 emergency, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Another possibility Verizon is evaluating is a $10-per-month plan with the ability to make limited outgoing calls to local numbers.
Verizon, according to Reuters, is considering making the offer only to customers also bundling with Internet service.
