Steve Friedman, COO of Wave Broadband, was elected chairman of the American Cable Association (ACA).
The results of the elections for ACA officers were announced at the Independent Show, the three-day educational summit hosted by both the ACA and the National Cable and Television Cooperative (NCTC). The organizers said that more than 1,200 people attended this year’s show, a 21 percent increase from last year.
Serving a two-year term with Friedman will be new ACA Vice Chair Jim Bruder, of Harron/Metrocast.
Elected to serve three-year terms on the ACA board were Bruce Beard of Broadstripe, Kirby Campbell of Armstrong, Calvin Craib of Mediacom, Steve Lowe of Avenue Broadband and Tom Might of Cable One.
